"I love apple trees. There's something about their twisted and gnarled branches bears a startling resemblance to life in general. The little tree starts out straight and tall. Reaching for the sky. As time goes by the branches become inter-twined. Some grow weak and fall. Some are eliminated by outside forces. A burden. A heavy weight. A need for trimming. So the part remaining sometimes heads off in another direction. Bending in the wind. Twisting around objects in its path. It lives on. Blossoming in the spring. Bearing fruit int he summer. Dropping tis leaves in the fall. Stark and cold in the winter. But always beautiful. Always reaching for the sky. No matter what the season."
