"I had been working on a series of still life paintings involving reflective surfaces (i.e. copper, brass, mirrors). When I spied this tea pot belonging to a friend. I loved the simplicity of the circular shape and glossy surface and begged to borrow it. I picked up some apples and my mother's crocheted doily. The title of this piece "Stop, Wait, Go" suggests the 3 different colours of apples are stop lights to urge the view to stop for a while, have a relaxing cup of tea before continuing on their busy day."
